A message from Pastor Lou

Pastor Lou

Anyone who is to find Christ must first find the church… Now the church is not wood or stone, but the company of people who believe in Christ.”

– Martin Luther

To have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ infers we need a relationship with his body, the church. In Christ’s universal church, we at Messiah understand that there are many varied expressions of faith and ministries. Each has a unique purpose and beauty. As you seek the Risen Christ in your life, we invite you to journey with us to discern your place within his sacred body. Join us in our shared ministry as you wish, for we trust as the people of God that whether you join us one time or for a life time, we will all be blessed by the experience. We hope and pray that we will prove a blessing to you, just as you surely will be a blessing to us. Make no mistake; Christ is calling all of us. As we strive to come to him, we will find him with others (the lost, the hurting and lonely) even as we discover him already with us; helping us as promised with our own crosses in seen and unseen ways. Together with Christ, as one family of faith, we will experience miracles. We at Messiah Lutheran Church and School firmly believe in Jesus Christ. We know the joy of his amazing grace. We invite you to share this joy as you join us in faith, fellowship, service and worship at any time. For now, please explore our website, especially the calendar and newsletter, to gain a better sense of our shared life. If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me by email (pastor@mlcas.org) or by phone (804-746-7134). I would also be honored to meet with you to help you discern your call within Christ’s family. May the grace and peace of Jesus Christ be with you now and forever. Amen.
